It's been a month and a half since I posted, and in that time I've worked just one 9 day course. The rest of my time has been filled with trainings and busy days off getting outside. Last post was pretty wordy so this one I'll just do through pictures and captions. This is the only photo I have from intermediate river skills training. It was 4 days of whitewater canoeing. We paddled the French Broad River and the Tuckasegee River. The squad for the training was a ton of fun. On the last day we did an intro to swiftwater rescue techniques. The reason we walked through the Bojangles drive through was because our van was too tall. Why eat field food when you could eat fast food? That sums it up! Lots of the usual- backpacking, climbing, paddling. Feeling strong and competent these days, so I'm really just feeling a lot of gratitude for that. A year ago, this was all I wanted.
