Well I've been landed and ~stable~ in Montana for about a month now. Living situation is working out great and skiing at Bridger Bowl is feeling like a good fit. I've been enjoying some xc skiing as well as a sprinkle of snowshoeing and ski touring. Visiting the climbing gym often, hanging with friends constantly, praying for more snow daily, considering eating more vegetables but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Things are truly going great! Every day is as intense/ adventurous as I want it to be, then I get to sleep indoors. I feel safe and in control oh what a feeling! Here are photos of my winter with some captions to tell more of the story. Ripping big lines in the backcountry is still a little ways out for me, but that's one of the reasons I am enjoying Bridger Bowl so much. The resort has a ton of side country and lift accessed backcountry terrain with some really sick lines. Here is Andy bootpacking up to the ridge to ride one of those lines. So yes, seasonal life spins on. This is probably my most balanced and fun winter for me in Montana yet. It's lovely not to be working and rather just pursuing my outdoor activities every day. I will be here for another month and a half, with a number of small trips planned during that time. Life is good! Thankful for it every day.
